Diva Dance

Welcome to Diva Dance School,

Diva Dance School is situated in the heart of Platt Bridge, Wigan and was established in 2006. We strive to develop and maximise the individual's potential talent allowing them to excel and shine, be it in a professional performing arts arena or in general life. This is achieved by the provision of a friendly high quality training that encourages pupils to develop self confidence and skills within a safe disciplined and supportive environment. Lessons are available in Ballet, Tap and Modern including limbering (further information on types of dance page). Diva Dance is open to all children and young people from the age of 2 and a half up to 18 + irrespective of level of ability. Students are treated as individuals and are encouraged to build on their strengths, improve areas of weakness whilst maintaining the required high standard of underlying basic technique in all genres studied. All staff are fully qualified and enhanced DBS checked. Karina (Founder and Director) has a diverse knowledge and experience in all three genres of performing arts at both amateur and professional level. These range from studying at a prestigious national performing art college and dance schools to a professional career working nationally and internationally on stage and television. Her aim is to provide each student with a foundation of good basic technique which allows the student to develop their imagination and maximise their individual potential. She provides a safe, supportive learning environment that has a disciplined element but maintains the fun and enjoyment of performing arts. Students are offered a variety of performance opportunities, shows, pantomimes, demonstrations and competitions( see news page). Students are entered into formal examinations through the British Ballet Organisation (B.B.O.)  which is recognised by the Government Office of Qualifications and Examination regulations (OFQUAL). We currently hold a 100% pass rate in all examinations.
